Cure For Black Magic

What is Black Magic

Black magic is words and rituals a magician carries out to please the shayateen and cast spells on its victims also known as witchcraft. The main purpose of magic is to harm the victim or get them to do what they want. Allah speaks about its origin in Surah Bakarah Verse 102

And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, “We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practising magic].” And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves if they only knew.

There are 4 common types of magic

  1. Black magic
  2. White magic
  3. Illusional magic
  4. Soothsaying

All four of these we consider the same thing even though in society there is a misconception that black is bad and white is good they are all harmful and forbidden in Islam. One who practices magic or gets it done against someone in any form leaves the fold of Islam and becomes a nonbeliever no matter what his or her intention.

‘Imran ibn Husayn reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He is not one of us who reads omens or has them read for him, or who performs soothsaying or has it performed for him, or who practices magic or has it practised for him.

Black Magic

Black magic takes place where the magician will call the devils by doing certain occult rituals, when they come to his call he will ask them what he needs to accomplish. The devils will require that the magician carries out degrading acts, and give sacrifices of animals even humans and blood. Once the magician carries out these acts, the sacrifices and blood become a binding agreement between the magician and a chief devil. When the agreement is made the chief devil will give a part of his army to serve the magician who in turn will send them to the victim to carry out his wish.

Magicians attack the victim in 4 common ways

  1. Feed the patient magic
  2. Do symbolic magic upon the patient
  3. Send the jinn and tie them up in the victim’s body
  4. Throw the magic in the victim’s way so he walks over it

Once any or all of these methods of magic have been used the jinn begins to attack the victim usually on the mind and the mind of others around him until the job is done.

White Magic

White magic is where one gets magic done to cure themself or have something done to their benefit. This is haram and not allowed in Islam as these types of practitioners are magicians and use the jinn. This type of healing is common all over the world, especially in Pakistan India, and Bangladesh but is also found in the west. They will ask for your mother’s name or do a diagnosis with your clothes or by making calculations etc. As the patient is getting magic done on themselves it is known and seen as white magic. This is the same as black magic with the only difference being that this is used for helping or treating the patient while the dynamics of sacrifices and agreements with the devils are the same as black magic. They use the Holy Quran and will give certain verses to read but in reality, they are also working with the jinn knowingly or unknowingly. The problem with this type of healing is that the magician is also using jinn and under a false disguise healing people but in fact, they are not being healed one problem is eradicated while another is created. The jinn are not our benefactors as Allah says in the Quran

Surely ShaiTān (Satan) is an enemy for you. So, take him as an enemy. He only invites his group (to falsehood) so that they become inmates of the blazing fire.(6.35)

And that (certain) men of the humankind used to take refuge with (certain) men of the jinn; so they increased them in oppression.(6.72)

Also in hadith

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about seeking a cure from magic (al-nushrah). The Prophet said, “They are among the works of Satan.

From the above, we can understand that getting magic removed by using magic is forbidden in Islam and shaytaan and his armies are an enemy to humankind they can never benefit us.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever ties a knot and blows on it has performed magic, and whoever performs magic has committed idolatry. Whoever hangs something as a charm will be entrusted to it.”

Ruwayfah ibn Thabit reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “O Ruwayfah, perhaps you will live for a long time after me. Tell the people that whoever ties knots in his beard, or hangs a string around his neck, or cleans himself with dung or bones, then Muhammad has disavowed him.

Charms are also known as ornaments taweez which are writings on a piece of paper usually with boxes numbers that can also contain Arabic writing quranic text. Charms also include stones and can be anything worn for protection or good luck.

The biggest problem with going to people who do white magic is that the patient is left at the mercy of the jinn and Allah’s help is removed as we can understand from the hadith above. This is very dangerous and patients who have been to see healers who use this type of healing practice take much longer to recover.

Finally visiting a soothsayer also takes one out of the fold of Islam as mentioned in the following hadith

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever goes to a fortuneteller and believes in what he says, or approaches his wife for intercourse while she is menstruating, or approaches his wife for intercourse from her backside, he was nothing to do with what has been revealed to Muhammad.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, also said

Aisha reported: Some people asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about soothsayers. The Prophet said, “They are upon nothing.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, sometimes they speak about things that come true.” The Prophet said, “Those are the words snatched by the jinn, who whisper it into the ears of their friends and it is mixed with more than one hundred lies.”
