Protections

Protections

Protection from any calamity is essential to living a peaceful life. The Holy Prophet peace be upon him taught us supplications and duas to protect ourselves at every point in our lives. Reciting these supplications at the correct times is sunnah, as well as a protection from all evil Allah, has created. We did ruyqah on a patient once and the jinn spoke and said

“Please let me go”.

I said to him “where will you go?”

He said “I am very hungry I will go behind your clinic there is a wedding happening I will eat there”

I said to him “they are all Muslims how will you eat with them”

He said ” which one of them has said bismillah I will enter any one of them and eat with them”

Subhanallah by reciting bismillah the devils can not eat with a person as told in a hadith of the Holy Prophet peace be upon him.

So following the sunnah and reciting the supplication is very important to stay protected from evil beings.

Reciting authentic supplications morning and evening.

Uthman (R.A.) reported that Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) has said that (nothing will harm) the servant who recites these words three times every morning and evening. (Recite 3 times)

Bismil-lahil-lathee la yadurru maAAas-mihi shay-on fil-ardi wala fis-sama-i wahuwas-sameeAAul-AAaleem.

We have made (started) the morning (and night) in whose Name nothing in the skies and the earth can harm and He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. (Tirmidhi)

Aaaoothu bikalimatil-lahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.

I take refuge in Allah’s perfect words from the evil He has created. (three times in the evening) Ahmad 2:290, At-Tirmidhi 3:187

(Ayatul – Kursi)

Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) stated that a person who has recited (the underlying) in the morning, he has pleased (praised, glorified) Allah for His favours of the morning, and if he has done so in the night, he has thanked Allah for His favours of the night. (Abu Dawood, Nisai) (Recite Once)

Allahu laaa ilaaha illaa huwal haiyul qai-yoom laa taakhuzuhoo sinatunw wa laa nawm; lahoo maa fissamaawaati wa maa fil ard man zallazee yashfa’u indahooo illaa be iznih ya’lamu maa baina aideehim wa maa khalfahum wa laa yuheetoona beshai ‘immin ‘ilmihee illa be maa shaaaa wasi’a kursiyyuhus samaa waati wal arda wa la ya’ooduho hifzuhumaa wa huwal aliyyul ‘azeem

Allah! There is no ilah (deity worthy of worship) but He The Living, The Eternal One. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belonges whatever is in the Heavens and on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before and what is behind them. They encompass nothing of His knowledge which He will. His Throne extends over the Heavens and the Earth, and the preservation of both does not weary Him. He is the Exalted The Immense One. (Qur’an 2:255)
